Service Description
The Affirming Path: A Queer Inclusive Day-Long Retreat welcomes all who wish to explore mindfulness and wellbeing in queer spaces. This is a day for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies to receive healing in a day away from the challenges of our world. At The Affirming Path there is no expectation to be anything other than where you are. Led by Michael Ward of Kinetic Roots Wellness and Phoenix Doukas of Phoenix Alchemical Arts, the retreat brings together mindfulness, movement, and conversation in a way that’s less about “fixing” and more about noticing. About being in your body and being with other people in an inclusive community. The day will sift between guided meditations, sound baths, movement, and queer centered wisdom talks to support your practice and wellness journey. You will have the chance to choose between a plant identification walk or artful expression. There’s space throughout the day to step back when you need to, to engage when you want to, and to take things at your own pace. You won’t be rushed, and you won’t be pulled into anything that doesn’t feel safe. The retreat closes with integrative practices designed to ground the day’s experiences, leaving participants with a renewed sense of connection—to self, to community, and to the path of affirmation they carry forward. **Pricing & Scholarships** Two pricing options are available: Standard seat – $200 Supporter seat – $250 (helps offset the cost of scholarships) Two scholarship seats are available at a discounted price. Full Refunds will be provided when: You cancel a week or more prior to the beginning of the workshop or service. 50% Refunds will be provided when: You cancel 48 hours before the beginning of the workshop or service. No Refunds will be provided when: You cancel after the 24 hour mark or after the beginning of the workshop or service Please Note: We recognize that special circumstances may arise, and we are committed to reviewing each cancellation on a case by case basis.
